Dr. Shrestha is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and the Founder of Physician Wellness Solutions, where she’s trained and coached thousands of high-achieving professionals and leaders on emotional intelligence, mental fitness, and sustainable self-stewardship.
The programs she’s created have been proven to reduce burnout by over 25%, helping individuals and organizations build sustainable cultures of wellbeing and resilience.
Having personally faced and overcome burnout in the ER, imposter syndrome, and workplace inequities in her own medical career, Dr. Shrestha brings both science and empathy to her work. She believes that when high-performing professionals flourish their teams, organizations, and communities thrive as well.
Dr. Shrestha earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at George Washington University. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and has been featured by ABC News, the Chicago Tribune and Medscape along with other major media outlets.
She is a Fulbright Fellow and also the recipient of numerous awards, including the Top 20 Global Women of Excellence Award by Rep Danny K Davis, the Rising Star Award from the University of Illinois, and the She for She Award from the Women in Medicine conference.
She has spoken on national stages across the country as well as internationally in various industries giving highly rated talks, workshops, keynotes and retreats.
